Holy Heifers Tallow Co. serves anyone who wants to ditch toxic skincare brands and help their skin with all-natural, organic, toxin-free products.
Liz, the Founder of Holy Heifers Tallow Co. is a mom 2 who before becoming a stay at home mom, worked in the medical field. She was a licensed EMT and worked as a medical assistant and a phlebotomist. She became a stay at home mom after her first baby.
Her products include organic grass-fed/finished beef tallow products including whipped balm, lip balm, lotion bars, and more! While Liz sells her skincare products at a lower price point to make natural, non-toxic products attainable, that doesn’t mean they are less pure than the other high-end tallow company products.
Her mission is to make quality products, and if she wouldn’t use it on her loved ones, she wouldn’t put it in her products. In her home-based business, she also makes all of her products to order, so her customers know they are getting a fresh product made just for them!
why DID you start HOLY HEIFERS TALLOW CO.?
I started my business because of my personal skin issues. I have struggled with acne for a very long time, and nothing I tried kept it at bay long term. I ended up trying someone’s tallow balm, and it tremendously helped my skin! But due to it’s high price and being a one income household, it wasn’t sustainable to keep buying it. So I thought to myself, “I bet I could make this”.
So I did a ton of research, went through a lot of trial and error, and ended up making a great product! I then thought “I should start my own tallow skincare business and make it more affordable for the everyday person”. I talked to my husband about it and he gave me his full support. The rest is history!

WHAT MAKES YOUR SKINCARE BUSINESS UNIQUE?
My business is unique because of my price point. I make sure to offer products that are the same quality as other tallow skincare brands, but doing it with a lower, more affordable price.
It is my mission to make sure everyone can enjoy the benefits of natural skincare without having to compromise their bank accounts. No one should be denied pure, clean products just because they can’t afford it.
A baby with eczema shouldn’t be denied a product that can greatly help their condition simply because it’s too expensive.

Honestly, the biggest thing that has helped me has been other small business owners. I am in a group on Facebook- Women’s Small Business Society- and it is full of amazing, kind, helpful women. They have helped hype me up when I’m stressed, given me advice when I’ve been unsure of what to do, offered to just be my friend and that’s invaluable.
There’s nothing like the support of others who are in your shoes or have been in your shoes. Knowing you have people to count on and people rooting for you just makes all the difference.
What’s your personal take on work-life balance? Is it attainable?
It is attainable, but I really attribute a lot of that to the help of my husband. Without his help, I don’t know how I would get everything done. He really steps in with our girls when I am working and that is a huge help for me so I can focus on fulfilling orders and bookkeeping.
What’s the key to success for you?
The key to success for me is just being a good human, being transparent, and loving like Jesus. When you work hard and hold your values dear, the rest just falls into place.
Her advice for moms just starting out is to just go for it! Find a problem and solve it. You CAN do it. You are stronger than you think you are.
